Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Nikos R — 20 Apr 2017
Ghost in the Shell borrows heavily from the original film and while it's not as sophisticated, it is able to stand on it's own as a solid sci-fi action flick. It presents an intriguing future, realized through gorgeous photography and excellent production design, along with a great score.
The story is pretty standard affair, but Scarlett Johansson is a reassuring presence and her character is compelling.
