Whitewashing problem aside, the fact that this movie managed to recreate the gorgeous visuals of the anime almost perfectly deserved a 10 rating in my book. Also, you can't expect it to be deep & thoughtful like the anime.
It's a Hollywood adaptation for crying out loud. But for a Hollywood adaptation, they did a pretty damn good job.
