Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Jeromejarin — 08 Apr 2017
Ive never seen the original animation movie so I have no bias whatsoever and I am not an anime afficionado.. but this much I can say.. I truly enjoyed this movie.. I love the cast, I like the visuals, the metropolis is a futuristic possiblity that I thought was done very nicely, the fight scenes wer very nicely handled very artsy.
. cinematography is top notch. This is a hybrid movie that blends art, science and philosophy in a pleasing package... the acting was great... there is nothing here to hate. it is a GOOD movie period. you will remember it a long time after seeing it.
not run of the mill at all. I say go watch it without a critical appraisal and just go with it with an open eye.. it is very nicely handled and I thought Scarlett Johansen was passable as an asian girl if not for the blue eyes.
. it is not a masterpiece but it is very creative. well worth your time and very enjoyable to watch.
