Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Mon S — 09 Apr 2017

An extra star because this is sorely underrated.

I'm a fan of the GiTS anime and SAC series, and I think fellow fans are overly harsh. The film landed the world and tone and sense of disconnection.

Also, the problem with professional critics is they don't factor in the level a film attempts to achieve (like a diver or gymnast). A "4 out of 5" for a superhero film is not equivalent to a "4 out of 5" for something like GiTS.
