Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Naian Y — 04 Apr 2017
Have seen all digital, real 3d, IMAX and Dolby. The city and those AR neon lights looks so cool in 3D. The urban building outline of Hong Kong makes it a heaven of cyber kind fantasies. The movie itself might not be as poetic or profound as the 95 animation, but absolutely beyond the baseline of its kind.
As an asian audience myself, I'm feel all right about the cast, compelling performance skill and good chemistry. After all central idea of the movie is ghost in a shell, larger difference in appearance or shell could've been a way how the conflicts are intesified and enhance an introspetive side of the movie.
At least it's pretty convincing to me rather than the washing complaints which might be too far from justice.
