Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Chris R — 20 Apr 2017

This is a visually beautiful movie that is actually pretty engaging....until the whole film falls apart. The chemistry between Scarjo and her partner lead to a very believable relationship. The mysterious plot coupled with the breathtaking imagery makes this film an intersting watch for an hour or so.

Once the plot takes various twists, the entire film just seems to meander along. You simply aren't as emotionally invested as you need to be for the third act of this movie to work. Overall, this is a decent watch if you want to watch a pretty movie that adds nothing new to the genre.
