Masamune Shirow, Weta Workshop. and the CGI studios get 4/5 stars for this movies end result.
The negative one star is for the whitewashing, boring casting and generally knowing this was going to cause everyone annoyance who is true to the love of the genre breaking and simply masterpiece source material. <3.
If I could strip this movie/studio/director of the former three amazing collaborators from this movie I would give it half a star.
