Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Tvjerry — 03 Apr 2017

This future vision of our world features dazzling cityscapes with giant 3D advertising. That's the best thing about this film, which takes place in an advanced world where people are cyber-ehananced. Even so, they still use guns with old-school bullets (than often miss their target) and they drive their own cars.

Scarlett Johansson has her brain implanted into an artificial body and becomes a crime fighter. But it couldn't be that simple: She has to have an existential crisis about who she really is. There's plenty of fast action, but it doesn't feature innovative fights or even clear editing.

Despite the noisy encounters, trite plot and advanced paranoia, this film's best asset is its cool visuals.
