Review of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004) by S1R-R34L — 29 Mar 2017
Greatly lacking to the original in all aspects, though it is still a good movie. It might be the Disney influence that motivated the philosophical angle to be driven home near the start of the film by a minor character and not to let the audience work it out and feel it, as was the case in the original movie - which was much better for it.
Also the implementation of the digital art, at times, can tend to draw the viewer out of the story, this weakens the effect and the movie. If you've watched the brilliant first movie then give this a view.
If you haven't... THEN WATCH THE FIRST MOVIE: IT'S AWESOME.
