Review of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004) by Richard C — 14 Apr 2010
Somewhat better than the first GitS. It at least expands on the predecessor's universal concepts about consciousness, human-computer hybrids, etc., with angles that indicate updated knowledge. But still rampant is the annoying style in which the narrative is presented.
I swear, it pretty much shoves a novel's diction into its script. Wrong delivery form in cinema! Digressing, the philosophy is showy and heavy-handed, but appealing. The 3D rendering is slightly rough and the animation as fine as before.
