Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by William H — 03 Oct 2008
If you like matrix, you would like this film as well. With common usage of robot, cyborg body and AI, it is much harder to define what is real.
It can be demanding for viewers to explore the world setting and the plot at the same time. But it is rewarding to see technology can be so closely tied to such philosophical questions.
Pacing of the film was uneven. Sometimes the dialogue generated too much information to be digested. Sometimes it just explores the city with give no contents but the mood.
