Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Sam L — 02 Jan 2010
Probably like a lot of people out there, I was expecting something special from this movie. The ideas of self actualised artificial intelligence and terrorism are very good movie ideas but the execution doesn't quite hit the mark.
Good visuals (maybe too many slow mo's) that can best be described as an anime version of Blade Runner/iRobot/Matrix. There are some sub plots that go unexplained which really let the film down.
