Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Zachary R — 11 Sep 2012
This is a good movie made in the 90's that really launched how we looked at the future as well as Robotics. What I can say about this movie, is that the story is a riddle, and one that basically constitutes, what is living and what is not.
It starts off with Major Kusanagi and her team at Section 9 who handle international disputes within their country of Japan. What is happening is a person called the Puppet Master who is becoming the world's greatest hacker is hacking into peoples minds because nearly everyone now has some sort of cybernetic in the body and he can take control of their will.
This causes Section 9 to go into action and stop the culprit, but for Major Kusanagi this becomes a huge personal matter. Now that is the story and believe that is the best I can whittle it down to. Other than that it is good enough to keep you interested.
The animation is also very top notch for this film and the Sci-Fi is always great to see, I give this film a 9 out of 10.
