Along with Akira, Ninja Scroll, Princess Mononoke, And Spirited Away, this is one of the five best Anime Films ever made. Easily one of the most influential. Inspired many films and television series after it, and has been compared to Blade Runner for it's influence in Sci Fi.
This is one anime you should not miss.
