A foreign mother to the domestically stylish Matrix, it's an original piece of masterful anime outside of Ghibli's standards besides the typical way of beauty with a blend of modern animation and more complexity, into a style of an interesting mythology that proves entertaining. While the Studio Ghibli films valued in wondrous storytelling, this sharp anime goes for the tastes in sci-fi action and intellect. (A-).
