Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Anthony G — 01 Aug 2016

This film is one of the films responsible for launching anime into poplularity in america. However the film doesn't really live up to that. Alot of the film just reaches out for ideas and concepts and doesn't really come around full circle with them which is sad because those ideas are truely profound.

Of course it is the set up for the amazing television series that comes later which improves on everything that the original movie tried to start. If your looking to get into Ghost in the Shell try the series first and then look at the movie in retrospec.
