Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Dan H — 08 Mar 2017
A film that is, at its core, about what it means to be human. It tackles themes of mortality, technology takeover, and transcendence. It's weird, surreal, bizarre, and oddly haunting. The animation and visuals are gorgeous, and clearly would go on to influence such films as The Matrix, among others.
