Review of Ghost House (2017) by Eric H — 07 Jul 2018
Put simply it's a good filler for a rainy afternoon or evening.
It has a great premise and has lots of potential; the scenery is very exotic and filmed fairly well. Somehow I have a feeling there's good footage on the editing floor.
Cinematography is fairly descent overall and music score a bit disjointed but a few songs are really cool.
To put it bluntly I wanted to really like it; but the main characters quickly became stereotypical douchebags. Or really cool Asian characters were reduced to a stereotype.
Sadly, my dislike of most of the Caucasian characters had me waiting with glee for which one would be killed first and in what gruesome way due to their stupidity.
If someone remade this it could be really, really good! So def grab some pop corn and watch it. It won't scare the pants off you but will keep you intrigued in a creepy way.
