Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Nosaj C — 02 May 2008
Whitaker is always a joy to watch. This movie is unique and interesting because of the mixture of cultures through the entire film. The french ice cream vendor and the conversations had with Ghost dog were some of my favorite moments.
Ghost Dog is a black assassin who lives his life by the code of the samurai *bushdo*. The movie is about respect, honor, loyalty and nothing else is above the code. A very unique and interesting film.
B+.
