Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Shaun I — 19 Jun 2008
Meditative, quirky, funny, thought-provoking, intelligent, powerful...all these words describe Jarmusch's perfect movie. A movie that defies any kind of catagorization, it moves from scene to scene creating a kind of tapestry.
Most will think it's a hitman movie, or a mob movie, but it's neither. One of Forrest Whitaker's greatest performances.
