Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Daniel H — 24 Jun 2008
Jim Jarmusch is able to get incredible mileage out of this modern, philosophical take on the classic samurai epic. Amazing performances from all. The strength of many of the characters is their humor, as well as how they stand on tiptoe -- like martial artists training their forms -- in the center of the Venn diagram connecting the real, the surreal, and the fantastic.
