Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Gavin S — 03 Aug 2009
This may seem odd to say, but for a movie about an assassin, it was very relaxing. Forest Whitaker has always been impressive, and here is no different. The soundtrack by the RZA was great (which is saying something as its not my kinda tunes usually), and the interspersing of text from the Samurai code book Ghost Dog lives by is very interesting.
Very stylish movie by Jim Jarmusch, shares similarities with another of his films: Dead Man. Well worth a watch.
