Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Kenny S — 12 Nov 2009
Very well shot and conceived, with great performances from some recognizable, yet unnameable, classic character actors. Brimming with bad symbolism that almost sinks the whole ship, but redeemed by Whitaker's deadpan comic timing and RZA's score, perhaps the greatest ever based on hip-hop.
Weirdest mafia movie ever.
