Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Sam C — 21 Dec 2010
A Thriller or Drama rather than the Action film it is sometimes claimed to be, Ghost Dog is interesting and full of heart.
At times slow, and regularly reliant on small, well timed cartoon clips and excerpts from the famous Samurai text "Hagakure", this is not a film to watch with a large group of boisterous friends. It is instead to be approached more like how one would read a book.
Additionally, RZA provides some excellent beats as always.
