Forest Whitaker plays a professional killer who goes by the name Ghost Dog. He strictly follows the samurai code and when a local small time mob boss saves his life, he swears loyalty to him and kills anyone who is a threat to his new master. When a witness is left behind after a hit, the mob wants Ghost Dog eliminated, which tests his ability to adhere to his code.
Interesting concept, but slow at times. On top of that, the mobsters are sort of lame.
Whitaker as Ghost Dog saves it from being a bad movie though. His character alone makes the movie at least worth watching ...
