Review of Ghajini (2008) by Baba A — 20 Jan 2009
This is one of the worst movies of Amir Khan. Ghajni dissappointed me in all respects: be it story, directing, acting, music, action, comedy or anything - u name it. Even Amir Khan was pathetic as a patient suffering from anterograde amnesia.
I agree I m definitely biased here bcoz I ve seen memento and no movie (certainly not an indian movie) can come close to the brilliance of memento. But Ghajni made matters even worse by not copying memento as it is. It was the twist n turns and the complexity of memento that made it a masterpiece. When watching memento, one could actually experience the state of mind of a person suffering from anterograde amnesia. This was the USP of memento; and Ghajni took all this away by making things very simple.
