A remake of the 2005's Tamil movie of the same name and the same director.

I have to say, I was pretty surprised watching this.

But there were a lot of things that didn't seem right, as well.

The beginning seemed to kind of rush by me. I really didn't see continuity between scenes. And honestly, I kind of got bored pretty fast.

I really liked the way they used diaries to go back into the main character's life.

Aamir Khan played both his character's really well (I'm saying both because he had different personalities throughout the film). I'm sure that if this movie didn't star him, it would have received less praise. I think he seemed to over-act, though. Him being my favorite actor, I can't really say anything bad about him. But I didn't like him in this movie as much as I thought I might have. In some scenes, I kind of got disappointed.

Asin is a pretty good actress. Normally, to me, actresses who make a debut in Hindi cinema with a co-star who's very experienced don't seem to appeal to me. But Asin did a really good job. In some scenes, I liked her better than Aamir Khan.

I saw Nishabd (which I really didn't like) and Jiah Khan just didn't seem like a good actress. In this movie, I was kind of shown otherwise. I think she is able to become a great actress. But right now, she just needs some practice. She did portray her character well in this movie but I thought that she was kind of fading into the background.

I really did not like the use of slow motion and special effects. There was just too much of that. It really made the scenes look over dramatic. And maybe that's why the actors seemed to be too over dramatic as well.

I really wish that the ending could be explained better. How is Sanjay not dead or somewhat physically disabled after what Ghajini did to him at the end? I didn't like the ending.

The soundtrack, I didn't like it. There were only two songs out of the movie that I seemed to enjoy.

I was looking forward to A.R Rahman's music and I didn't seem to like it.

Do I recommend this movie? I guess. I mean, it's not that bad. But if you can get over the really horrible parts, I'm sure you're going to enjoy it because it's a great story with pretty good actors.
