Ghajini delivers what it promised right from the time the trailers started coming tv " a mindless action thriller " coupled up with Aamir Khan's eight packs and publicity antics thrown in. The problem lies with our expectations from Aamir Khan: any film which doesnt leave a significant impact at the audience's psyche is considered unsuccessful( I maybe wrong even here with fanatics sporting Ghajini haircut all over the place)..but this is something we don associate Aamir Khan with.

Ghajini starts off with a medical student played by Jiah Khan looking up into the history of a medical patient Sanjay Sighania . We are told that He suffers from anterograde amnesia .

Then the movie shifts to Aamir Khan and his quest to take revenge for the death of his girlfriend . Aamir in all his 8-pack avatar gives it his all to show how enraged and demon-like he has turned since the death of his girlfriend. He is on the constant lookout for a man called Ghajini. Pretty novel to name the movie after the villain.!!!!

Nothing much to write on how he tries to remember things coz that all is basically copied smartly from Memento.

What is bad about this Hindi version is the chemistry between Aamir and Kalpana in a way lets down the pace of the film, and the very chemistry is nothing much to talk about. Had it not been for Rehman's score it wouldnt have evoked even a bit of empathy in the minds of an (informed) viewer.

The film definitely relies a lot on Rehman's mesmerising soundtrack to relate with the romance. Coming to Asin , there is nothing much to her character than playing the good samaritan and she does that with great aplomb. She looks good though in some of the song sequences.

Post interval director shows his complete lack of ability when he spoils completely an absolutely innovative situation...That of Sanjay totally losing his memories..as the villians and his cohorts rub out all his tattoes but that angle is totally given a miss and that pains me a lot.

Other than this there is nothing much to write about this film, it's a typical masala flick with lots of violence and full of Aamir Khan which tells us why has it bcome the highest grosser of all time.

Aamir with his superb publicity stunts has turned his film into a winner...after all his 8-packs deservd nothing less!!!
