"Gettysburg" is an AWESOME movie. Tom Berenger, Jeff Daniels and Martin Sheen all give great performances. Based on the novel; "The Killer Angels", "Gettysburg relives the first day's battle, Battle of Little Round Top and ends with Pickett's Charge.
You really don't have to be a history buff to enjoy this film. The Battle of Little Round Top is one of the best battle scenes ever put to film. This movies length of 260 minutes turns many viewers off.
However, the renter comes away feeling he really knows what transpired during this crucial battle.
