Review of Gettin' Square (2003) by Konrad W — 18 Jun 2009
Ever since Barry in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet I've been a huge fan of Timothy Spall and once again he puts on a great performance here. However there's no question that this movie is owned by the mullet-headed David Wenham whose perfomance was fantastic - "like being courteous to your victims an' that." LOL.
The cinematography was clever and imaginatively showed off the Gold Coast, unfortunately though the plot was slow to get going and not very imaginative.
Finally I feel a bit for Sam Worthington, although he gets top billing he's really just supported Spall and Wenham. Lets hope he makes more of an impression in the re-make of Clash of the Titans....i have my doubts though.
