The Getaway got going, it just didn't arrive...
I really wanted to like this flick, yet something just did not work for me. Granted, the story was familiar; sort of 'Speed' meets 'The Italian Job'. And I think the it had its moments. Special effects were explosive. Some stunts were reckless and unrealistic, but... Hollywood style.
I just couldn't buy into the chemistry between Ethan and Selena.
It seemed like the flick was written for Selena, with Ethan supporting her. He held back to give her some shine or something. She did well, mind you, and I think she'll get better. She's just not there yet.
