Review of Get the Gringo (2012) by James N — 23 Jun 2012
Enjoyable enough yarn, with Mel Gibson as a thief on the run who ends up in a Mexican jail (note to self: consider that a film set in Mexico will likely have Spanish dialogue that will be translated into Hungarian sub-titles in the cinema! Even in a VIP showing!).
This had a fast moving plot, action and a dry sense of humour, but would have ben a better film if played straight and as a gritty thriller. OK, but nothing special. Also called "How I Spent My Summer Vacation".
