Regardless of what people might think of Mel Gibson's off-screen persona (or lack thereof), he is undoubtedly an excellent actor and is clearly having a ball in this film - he shines in every scene.
Gory, comic shoot-em-ups; cracking dry one-liners; and a rollicking, fast-paced script. Not brilliant, but a solid switch-the-brain-off hoot.
