This modern spin on the classic spy-spoof TV sitcom was a little flat in places, but still had plenty of laughs and nods to the original series for old-timers like me. I enjoyed all the catchphrases like "Sorry about that, Chief," "Would you believe.

..?" and "Missed it by that much!" Carell plays Agent 86 straighter and less over-the-top than Don Adams did. I think he could have hammed it up just a bit more to prevent some gags from failing to connect.

Anne Hathaway is a chic and sexy Agent 99, although with a back story that seemed out of place. I quite liked the car chase near the end--it was as exciting as any action film sequence.
