Review of Get Shorty (1995) by John P — 07 Aug 2007
Okay, John Travolta basically plays the same character from Pulp Fiction. Is that a bad thing? Fuck no. This is a funny-ass movie, which takes the normal conventions of a gangster movie, and turns them on their head.
The only thing wrong with it is, there's a non-existant middle act, which unfortunately robs us of Danny DeVito and Gene Hackman, who are great as well here.
