Chili Palmer (John Travolta perfectly cast) is a Miami loanshark who LOVES movies. So when business takes him to LA he decides to start a new life as a producer, but finds dealing with a low rent director (Gene Hackman), movie stars (Rene Russo and Danny Devito) to be much like his old job.
It doesn't help that his old boss (Denis Farina) and a local drug smuggler (Delroy Lindo) are hounding him. Witty and entertaining this is one of Travolta's best movies. Watch it and skip the shitty sequal.
