Review of Get Shorty (1995) by Carlos B — 27 Aug 2009
Slick 1995 comedy with an All Star cast. This comedy had it moments but overall it really misses the mark. It's a film that tries to be too cool and clever when it's not. It becomes a darkish comedy at times with no direction and a ton of plot holes, yet you can't help but to finish the thing.
Dennis Farina's performance was flawless (yet the over-the-top cursing could have been edited) and Travolta,Hackman,Russo really worked well togetherand you could see they had a blast in this project.
The comedy in it also looked aged. Mildly recommended.
