Review of Get Shorty (1995) by Joseph Y — 25 Oct 2007

There's always a temptation for movies about the movie business to be either impenetrable or just up themselves, but this is both accessible and very, very funny. The cast turn in wonderful performances, the script is very sharp, and the affection for the movie business and for Los Angeles shines through even as both are thoroughly pilloried.

Low-key, clever, and extremely amusing.
