Review of Get Out (2017) by Scott W — 18 Nov 2017

I actively stay away from horror movies, because I just don't like the genre. But I heard so many good things about this movie I felt like I needed to check it out. Get Out is definitely entertaining, and has some interesting things to say about race and the interactions between whites and blacks.

I think what kept me from liking it more (other than the fact that I don't like horror movies) is that the plot was just so out there. The reveal of what these people are doing - it's just crazy.

And not to spoil anything, but once you find out who this family is I find it hard to believe that Rose would wait five months into the relationship before bringing Chris home.
