Review of Get Out (2017) by Devin H — 23 Apr 2017
The only thing negative that I could possibly even find about this film is that Jordan Peele is now gonna have a hell of a time living up to such high expectations that this film will set for him. I haven't seen a horror movie this good since the original 1970s Wicker Man.
Every aspect of this movie was perfect. It was scary, funny, extremely thought-provoking, and has plenty of those great "epiphany" moments when you realize something new about what's going on.
All of the actors played their parts extremely well, although it was not as apparent the first time around as it was the second time watching it, which I HIGHLY recommend everyone do. You will understand so much more the second time and see so many small things you didn't catch the first time.
I won't give any spoilers, I believe I have said enough. And for someone who has never written a film review, because I am highly critical of most films to the point that I don't care to leave reviews, I can't recommend this one enough!
