I don't understand all the hype around this film. Sure, it was watchable. But the film itself makes no sense. The argument that it is a reflection of social divide in contemporary America, summarised neatly within a horror film, is just bullocks. The film has such glaring plot holes any social commentary is a farce.

For example, consider the following (to but name a few):

- I love the fact that the entire film has this racial undertone. But yet the mastermind (the Grandfather - an old white man) willing chooses to become a man of colour. And then relegates himself as a servant to his own family.

- Let us not forget they do that to the Grandmother as well. Talk about karma.

- I am also pretty sure all these people disappearing to the same girlfriend, may have raised just a little bit more suspicion.

Come on. It was a fun watch. But seriously. Lord of the Rings is more plausible. And while I understand we are expected to suspend belief when we go watch a film, let's just be reasonable.
