..his horrible childhood, his jail time, his ego, his rage, the way he treated his wives & his band, his music & the way it moved all of us and how it moved him...as James Brown, Chadwick Boseman is just phenomenal from the explosive musical performances to the quiet moments.
..it's a knockout...the movie is not told like other Biographies from A to Z ...it's jumbled & goes back & forth...for me it helps you to understand how James Brown became JAMES BROWN..
. so get down with your bad self and Get On Up to a theater near you and be Funky with Strangers in the Dark & see it.
