Review of Get On Up (2014) by Jimenez M — 15 Jul 2015
This is a part of the James Brown story. There is a lot of skipping in the timeline but you get an overall take of his life. The movie is shot differently than normal. There is a back and forth in the timeline.
Also, James Brown breaks the 4th wall several times. His music style was awesome but his lifestyle was not. The acting is good. Maybe worth a rental, good on Netflix, but I recommend not paying for it.
