I never thought I'd say this but there are too many musical performances in "Get On Up" The new James Brown biopic. Yes we get the tour de force performance by Chadwick Boseman as the "Godfather of Funk" replete with publicity package informing us about 8 hour a day dance lessons and Mick Jagger supervising.
Perhaps the JB story is just not as compelling as say Jackie Robinson.
