Review of Get on the Bus (1996) by E F — 12 Nov 2008
For me, Spike Lee never lets you down. A moving performance by Charles S. Dutton, and decent performances by a lot of "before they were famous" actors like Isaiah Washington and Bernie Mac. The only thing I didn't like was how some of the characters and conflicts between the people on the bus seemed somewhat stereotypical.
Many of the interactions were based on what this or that kind of person should be like, and I think Spike Lee could have made the characters a little more well-rounded.
