Review of Get Low (2010) by Mahmoud A — 20 Sep 2012
I knew I had to see this movie because it just seemed like one of those rare, profound movies that come along and really make you examine your life. Of course, I was right. 'Get Low' is really simple, and yet so complex.
Robert Duvall owned this character, he completely embodied this man and it really came through on screen. This is what acting is all about. I also have to say that I feel like we all know someone who is a little bit like a Felix Bush, I dare say everyone has a little bit of Felix Bush in us.
There is a burden that we carry around with us, and never tell anyone, even if we continue to live and carry on a part of us will always be in that place that changed our life forever. This film makes you want to dig up that part of you and face it to finally be at peace.
