Review of Get Him to the Greek (2010) by Geoffrey T — 11 Apr 2012
Now I will be straight up and honest about thisâ¦..I donâ(TM)t like Russell Brand. I donâ(TM)t find him funny usually and find him annoying more then anything. And I wasnâ(TM)t impressed by the last films I saw Jonah Hill in, Knocked Up and Superbad. So with trepidation, I sat down to this film.
I liked it. I didnâ(TM)t love it, and I didnâ(TM)t hate it, I liked it, I actually laughed out loud at some points, very unlike me with comedies, and I enjoyed the characters. Jonah Hill was actually likeable in this, I felt for him in his relationship problems, and P Diddy had a brilliant role in it, being absolutely hilarious most of the time. But for me, the biggest surprise was Aldous Snow. Brand was brilliant in this role, not just the obvious ârock starâ? moments but also the softer, more emotional moments, and more then anything, he had a brilliant voice (I hope itâ(TM)s his!) and I actually wanted to listen to the album after, very enjoyable :).
