Review of Get Him to the Greek (2010) by Dann M — 30 Dec 2012
In this spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the character of Aldous Snow gets to rock out. Get Him to the Greek follows a record company executive who has to get rocker star Aldus Snow to the Greek Theatre in L.
A. for his 10th anniversary show, and the shenanigans that they get into along the way. Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Elisabeth Moss, and Sean Combs lead the cast and give good comedic performances. However, the Aldous Snow character has been tweaked a bit and is more of a rock star stereotype then he was in the previous film.
But, this kind of works and helps with the satire. Yet the film takes some bizarre turns, as does the humor. So, while the comedy is rather hit-and-miss, enough sticks to make Get Him to the Greek wildly entertaining.
