Saw this one in history class also. I liked it alot more than I was expecting to. All the actors are damn good, especially Duvall. It's a very slow, deliberate film, but it's beautifully shot and well directed.
Far darker and less idealistic than most Westerns, It presents no romance in a brutal story of war and geonocide.
