"Gerald's Game" is pure psychological dread from start to finish. Even when the movie gets somewhat slow in its middle passages, there is tension constantly in the air. This is more of a psychological thriller than horror but that's what I liked about it.
It still has a creepy feel and has some moments that are sure to make you squirm. It is a compelling movie not for the faint of heart but it is a movie that is an engaging thrill ride. Carla Gugino does a great job carrying the movie with her gripping performance.
It's worth checking out if you're a fan of unconventional thrillers. .
